Early 20th Century Spanish Carved Walnut and Wrought Iron Folding Back Bench

About the Item

Decorate a mudroom or entry with this elegant antique folding bench. Crafted in Spain circa 1930 and built of solid walnut, the comfortable bench stands on carved fluted and square legs. Both legs are joined with a twisted double forged iron cross stretcher. The seating features a rectangular and deep seat, made with two fruitwood boards, and a folding back connected to the seat with thick iron hinges. The Baroque style bench is in excellent condition commensurate with age a use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Versatile, it could also be used on one side of a kitchen table, or against a wall in a hallway. Measures: 43" W x 15.5" D x 31.5" H.
