English Marquetry Bench

About the Item

The front rail and top crest of this English marquetry bench have serpentine shapes. The crest, legs, and aprons are inlaid with floral and vine marquetry on all four sides. The arms are supported by a cross rail and fourteen bentwood inset supports. The legs rest on four original brass castors.

    Repaired: There is a two inch repaired crack in the left hand side crest rail which does not affect the stability of the back. Wear consistent with age and use.
