Flemish Oak Carved Settle/bench

About the Item

Flemish oak carved settle in good condition with beautiful carvings, the panel with the sword and the fleurs-de-lis is a variation on the arms of Joan of Arc, Joan’s brothers were ennobled by the French King after her death. Quite of few of their descendants (in the female line) claimed that the patent extended to their families too. For that reason there are quite a few families that use this emblem. The seat has gargoyles for arm rests and the seat has a lift up lid for storage.
