About the Item
Forms and Surfaces bronze sheathed six foot bench from California.
Very basic form with a cast surface which gives this bench a unique look.
Forms and Surfaces entry doors were the only examples of their work with which I was familiar and at $18,000 to $30,000 a set placed Forms and Surfaces not on my to do list until a friend in Santa Barbara shared this bench with me and I thought it was a hugely successful design.
I think this could go well with your "L'Homme Au Doigt" 1947 Painted Bronze 6/6 70" high or perhaps your "Femme Debout" 1960 Bronze 5/6 106.5" H. or any of a number of artworks where the surface is of importance, perhaps a Robert Ryman canvas.
The bench is in very good condition with minor wear.
