Antique Gothic Revival, Hand Carved Solid Oak, Open Design Church Hall Bench
About the Item
Handcrafted Gothic bench with church window-like openings in the sides.
When we first saw this Gothic Revival church bench we immediately fell in love with its open design and light color. The former owners explained us how this once was a much longer bench, but they had it professionally shortened to fit their smaller entry hall. For many years, the longer bench was used at a big family's kitchen table, but after the children had moved out, the owners purchased a smaller home and no longer had use for a long bench. The making shorter was also done in such a way that both sides have the original Gothic design outsides. This unique bench clearly was well looked after and apart from a few truly minor imperfections it could not be in better condition. Its small size and undeep design makes this little beauty ideal for a hallway or landing and thanks to its relatively minimalist Gothic style, it can also be used in interiors and buidlings that are not necessarily Gothic (inspired).
Mind you, our fair price even includes perfect packing (in a custom made crate) and also worldwide shipping from our store to your door in just 4 days.
