Wonwoo Koo
I majored in furniture design in Seoul and have been involved in projects related to spaces, furniture, and lighting. Since 2019, I have been pursuing more artistic endeavors in Seoul and the Guangdong region of China.
I am the kind of editor who draws inspiration from everything I see, hear, and feel in the realms of painting, sculpture, architecture, fashion, and film. This involves cutting, pasting, editing, and combining elements from both artificial and natural surroundings, experienced over an extended period or in a fleeting moment.
Becoming a creator is an ongoing process of rearranging perceptions of the world around me into creations of universal value that can be understood by as many people as possible, regardless of background, perspective, or position in life. The ultimate goal of this process is the synthesis of reason and emotion. However, I acknowledge that it is a challenging task and also consider it the driving force for sustainability.
