Hollywood Regency Style Bench After George Koch and Sons
About the Item
Great vintage, mid century bench after George Koch and Sons furniture. Comes on a strong metal, gilded frame with light blue upholstery.
Both frame and upholstery are in very good structural shape, but both come with age appropriate wear. the gold tone on the frame is fading, but still prominent, it also contains some scuffs. The blue upholstery cushion is also fading. See pictures for details !
This beautiful bench is a prime example of "working class, mid century glam" style.
The Mid-Century Glam trend is a combination of Hollywood chic with its decadent metallic accents and of a more retro post-war style featuring geometric shapes and vibrant warm tones. Varied textures, angled legs, and gold are common in this style.
