Large Italian Mid-Century Modern Sheepskin & Lucite Bench Attr to Marzio Cecchi

About the Item

A Large, Elegant and Dramatic Italian Mid-Century Modern Bench Attributed to Marzio Cecchi circa 1970. This Italian bench has a light, ethereal presence due to to its lucite base which allows the bench to appear as if it is floating. The base is minimal and pure. Each of the 2 base sections are composed of perpendicular pieces of thick lucite set in an angular form and presents a forward looking spirit. The skin is composed of faux sheepskin and adds to the lightness and celestial aesthetic. The piece is also approximately 6' wide which gives it a wide range of practical uses throughout any residence. Marzio Cecchi was one of the most progressive and innovative Italian designers of the late 20th Century. His work conveys originality and is exemplified by the transcendent aesthetics of this bench.
