Large Louis XIV Upholstered Oak Bench
About the Item
Large Louis XIV upholstered oak bench dating to mid-18th century. Can serve as a bench, ottoman or coffee table. Currently covered in off-white ticking and ready to be recovered in your fabric. All joints are tightened: stable, sturdy. Heavy and able to support weight. Turned and hand-carved legs and frame original with exception of turned feet - they are later restorations.
Note: Original/early finish on antique and vintage metal will include some, or all, of the following: patina, scaling, light rust, discoloration, and corrosion. Regional differences in humidity and climate during shipping may cause antique and vintage wood to shrink and/or split along its grain, veneer to loosen and/or peel, and painted finishes and gilt to crack and flake.
