Slatted Bobbin Bench

About the Item

A long low luggage bench with flat slatted top over six bobbin legs joined by bobbin turned double side stretchers and central low cross bobbin stretcher. English, circa 1910. Bearing a brass maker's plate declaring: "Made from timber removed from H.M.S. Brittania, cadet training ship at Dartmouth 1869-1905". An old picture of the Brittania is included above.
