" I would rather have taste , than love or money " Famously quoted from William "Billy" Haines silent movie star who did briefly make the transition to talking pictures . When asked by the studios to "change " his lifestyle Mr. Haines said good bye to Hollywood as an actor. Instead becoming the leading decorator designer to stars movie and business executives. His palette was elegant not stuffy, luxurious yet modern. Haines basically invented Hollywood Regency look. Clients range from the Annenbergs, Hearsts, Regans, Bloomingdales to Joan Crawford, Sinatra, Jack Warner. Brass frame bench with Klismos curved legs and button tufted leather seat.
