Pair Louis XVI Style Barrel Back Bergeres
About the Item
This is an outstanding pair of Louis XVI painted barrel back bergeres that dates to the first half of the twentieth century. Barrel back or tub chairs are the most desirable form of bergeres with their embracing backs and super comfortable down cushions--these chairs exceed expectations. The chairs are newly upholstered (with new internal padding and new goose feather and down cushions) in a linen blend in a pale blue and light khaki stripe. The frames are in excellent condition and retained their original painted surface. These chairs would integrate perfectly into a variety of setting from a chic casual or coastal living room to an elegant bedroom. The pale blue and khaki stripe serves as a neutral.
