18th Century Carved Oak Corner Chair
About the Item
18th century carved oak corner chair from Scotland with a wonderfully carved back, supports and arms, all depicting whimsical faces and leaves. The arm supports are hand turned with twists and are flanked by hand carved open vase back splats. The apron is also carved and scalloped, and the chair is supported on hand turned legs. The front leg has a whimsical upside down face at the knee and ends in a Classic ball and claw for. The legs are joined by cross stretchers.
