Antique 19th century South German Honey color Fruitwood Rural Farmhouse chair

About the Item

Discover this exquisite antique primitive chair, crafted in the mountainous countryside of Southern Germany around 1850. Made from fruitwood, likely from an apple tree, its clean lines with gentle curves, the natural allure of pure wood, and the myriad of small traces of use make this chair truly special. Moreover, it offers solid construction and a degree of comfort in use. The seat and backrest are carved from a single piece of wood, showcasing beautiful grain patterns and warm honey color. The chair stands on four tapered faceted legs, with the front right leg having been replaced in the past. Professionally cleaned in our workshop, this unique chair is pristine, sturdy, and ready for use.
