Lyre-back splat with cabriole legs and foliate scrolls Unsigned, but attributed to the Robert Wood Foundry in Philadelphia 1860s. Very heavy American cast iron mid-19th century Rococo and neoclassical garden chairs. Original version Lyre-back splat with cabriole legs and foliate scrolls. Unmarked, but most likely cast by the Robert Wood foundry in Philadelphia. Featured in Wood & Petot's 1858 catalog featuring original designs for iron chairs, settees, tables and ornamental iron.
