Art Deco Burnt Bamboo and Cane Arm Chair

A gorgeous art deco burnt bamboo armchair. A stunning example of craftsmanship during the era, this piece is created from a mixture of cane, rattan, and burnt bamboo or "tiger bamboo". Both the seat and back are created with stretched cane webbing framed by burnt bamboo. Bentwood arms and chair back feature scrolled stylized pieces of bamboo. The legs are wrapped in rattan and have brass caps at the bottom.
Interestingly, at the bottom of the chair, the previous owner's information is written in pencil with her address and reads Personal Property.
