Art Deco Skyscraper Vanity/ Desk Chair in Bookmatched Walnut and Black Lacquer


Constructed in the 1930s, this elegant Art Deco chair recalls old world craftsmanship and new world modernity with its skyscraper style tiered back made from beautiful tiger's eye walnut. It features lacquer accents tracing the perimeter of the back as well as fan style supports at the joints. The hexagonal legs gently taper to the base. The inviting surface of the smoked cognac mohair seat offers a striking contrast to the seductive finish of the walnut. The back supports and joints of the chair are composed of walnut as well. This piece offers the sumptuous wood and dynamic geometric forms that every collector seeks in Art Deco furniture. Mint restored condition.
