Edoardi Landi dining chairs for Studio D Italy 1973

About the Item

Extraordinary dining chairs model S41 designed by Edoardo Landi and manufactured by Studio D, Italy 1973. These chairs are designed by Architect Landi in 1973 and was produced in a very small series by StudioD, together with some chairs, cabinets, and tables from the same series. These chairs are made of solid pine wood and have a black stained finish which gives them the appearance of being burned. These chairs are a typical architects design, its clearly visible in the way its constructed and shaped. The chairs are made of several square slats, glued symmetrically to the seat which is the centre part that holds everything together. The chairs are different from every angle and have a nice brutalist shape. The square structure gives the chairs a minimal look, but the big slats make them chairs look slightly bulky. That’s why it’s nice that the legs and back show several openings in between so the chairs still look transparent and light. This is one of the most extraordinary chairs we have seen recently. Documentation is available but not included in the sale. We have 2 matching tables from the same series available as well in another listing. Chairs are priced and sold individually; we have 14 chairs available in total, chairs can be purchase in pairs of 2.
