Gaston Poisson, set of six dining chairs, oak, leather, France, 1940s. Dining chairs in solid oak, with beautiful detailed woodcarving and stunning patinated leather. The back of the chair consist of five slightly curved slats: top and bottom are smooth and tight, the middle section is elegantly carved. This detail of high craftsmanship is also visible on the cross-connection of the legs. These Art Deco chairs are upholstered in what was originally a dark green leather, through time, it now shows a beautiful overall brown patina and worn look. A beautiful color palette of brown and green colors on the seating. Some items have minor cracks in the surface. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come.
