Italian Midcentury Chairs Attributed to Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler, 1960s

About the Item

A midcentury Dining Chairs Set attributed by several Italian auction houses to Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler. These Vintage chairs were made in Italy by "Forma" during the 1960s in solid teak wood and wool upholstery. The design of these chairs is aerodynamic in full taste of the Italian design of the period. As with the productions of other great post-war Italian designers such as Gio Ponti, Ico Parisi and Franco Albini, everything that was superfluous and non-functional was removed from the structure without sacrificing aesthetics, making the chair super light and sculptural. The wooden part of the chairs has been totally restored; they are stable and solid, polished by a professional with shellac. The upholstery fabric is the one originally fitted to the chairs and has not been replaced. For any additional information you would like to know about this article, do not hesitate to contact us.
