Jabuti Chair — Handmade Solid Wood Contemporary Brazilian Design
About the Item
This chair is inspired by the shapes of the Jabuti, a species of Brazilian turtle.
Its feet, thick and grounded, lengthen and thin, seeking a light and floating backrest.
The chair was designed so that its structure is robust and visually light.
Built 100% in solid Brazilian wood, Jequitibá-Rosa, Tauari or Freijó.
Finished in satin water based-varnish.
It is also possible to apply an ebonized finish to darken the wood.
_ Jequitibá-rosa, a wood with reddish tones.
_Freijó, a light wood of yellowish and golden tones with very accentuated wood drawings.
_Tauari, a light wood with yellowish tones and accentuated wood drawings.
Designed by the Brazilian architect and designer Rodolfo Scuiciato.
Handcrafted by Rodolfo in Jabuti Atelier.
