Stylish Rustic Americana wingback, arrow back, form lounge chair in solid maple, attributed to Herman de Vries, for Cushman, unsigned. The chair is an example of Modernisms early introduction to mainstream American culture, and was considered very forward looking at the time. The classic restrained, unadorned design makes this exception piece still relevant to todays interior spaces. This example is structurally sound and sturdy, showing some cosmetic wear to its finish, and an old ( stable ) repair to one arm, please see images. Total H 37 x Arm H 24 x Seat H 15 x D 25 x 29.5 inches.
