Mechanical Adjustable Patent Victorian Chair Table after Hunzinger

About the Item

Interesting mechanical folding chair/table from the Victorian period. The chair backrest folds down to become a table surface, this style known as patent, or proto furniture was popular in the late 19th century and is considered to be an early precursor to the formal modern movement. This example has an oak frame, upholstered seat and back ( shows wear ) and green felted top. Quirky decorative and stylish item, not often seen form, good original condition. Dimensions when in table position: D 32 in x W 20 in x H 28in.
