Original circa 1920's Mundus Vienna Austria Bentwood High Back Kitchen Chair
About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this original fully stamped Mundus Vienna Austria, bentwood high back chair.
A very good looking well made piece dating to circa 1920. It is bentwood much the same as Thonet and extremely comfortable. A rare shape and size, slightly taller than a normal chair and with a higher back rest
The seats is original as is the back rest, it has an almost crocodile alligator patina to it.
Condition wise, it has been cleaned waxed and polished from top to bottom and is in ready to go condition.

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
