Original Pastoe Dutch Minimalist SM01 Chair by Cees Braakman, 1954
About the Item
This rare and hard to find Dutch Minimalist design chair was designed by Cees Braakman in the 1950s and has model name SM01. The chair has a metal frame and the seat and backrest are upholstered in the original faux leather with a beautiful Mid-Century Modern design. The Pastoe catalog from 1954 shows exactly the same model with this upholstery. The chair is 81 cm high in total and has a seat height of 45 cm. A real eyecatcher for example a desk, vanity table, or as an art object in any room.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. The chair is 65 years old and therefore has some wear and tear, the motif is faded in some places, and the metal is no longer uniformly black. Personally we think this is very beautiful about this chair.
