Pair of 19th Century Hepplewhite Style Mahogany & Painted Elbow Chairs

About

A fine pair of late 19th century Hepplewhite style mahogany elbow chairs. The chairs have quadruped 'X' backs with a centre domed top rail and straight arm which have an integral concave support. The front legs are square and tapering and have spayed toes. The chairs are decorated with fine hand painted swags of flowers along the legs and arms, flowers across the top rail and in the centre a Horn and some sheet music. The chairs are in very good original condition, the stuff over seats have recently been re-upholstered in a modern green coloured material. (circa 1890) Measures: Height 89cm (35 inches) Width 53cm (20.9 inches) Depth 49cm (19.3 inches).
