About the Item
Pair of Brutalist solid oak lounge chairs by Dittmann & Co for AWA Radbound, Netherlands, c. 1970's. These substantial armless lounge chairs feature all wood construction in a dark stained oak with curved and rounded sculptural slatted seat and backs. A pitched seat and back design make these low lounge chairs extremely comfortable, perfect for relaxing fireside in a cozy living space. Braced leg stretchers give extra support and stability to these sturdy chairs. With a rustic modern design which would be perfect for a modern cabin or lake house, these chairs bring typical Scandinavian mid-century design into a new sphere of design influence. Reminiscent of designs by Pierre Chapo and Guillerme et Chambron.
