Pair of Garden Egg Chairs by Peter Ghyczy
About the Item
Designed by Peter Ghyczy in 1968, the iconic Garden Egg Chair incorporates a space age look, UFO-like form, portability and a low seat for informal lounging. A cushioned seat is positioned in the center of the rounded plastic form, which curves upwards to form armrests on either side. When the lid is lifted up, it supports a cushion that acts as a backrest. Usable both in and outdoors, these sealable plastic eggs are waterproof and feature removable cushions.
These deluxe 90's variant models are part of a limited edition, with purple upholstery and a space grey polyurethane shell. Stamped and labeled on seat bottom, Peter Ghyczy 1998. Very good vintage condition with normal scuffs/scratches from age and use.
