Rosewood & Copper Povera Chair by Antonio Aricò for Delvis Unlimited

About the Item

The povera chair channels the timelessness of traditional folk furniture. Its form is almost a small sculpture that returns us to the past, to the roots of our lands, craftsmanship culture, simple materials and tapering shapes, which make it beautiful and unique. A chair that seems to have always existed, The povera chair is named after the Italian word for "poor" due to its simple yet effective design. The simplicity of the povera chair’s shape is enriched through the use of the rosewood, a type of Brazilian toulipwood, with a small copper dowel inserted between the back rest’s mirror-image panels.
