Set of Eight Light Boucle Heart Chairs, Poland, 1960s

About the Item

A set of 8 chairs type A5828. Colloquially called "heart". The furniture was designed by Helena and Jerzy Kurmanowicz. They were produced in Radomsko Woodworking Factory and we thoroughly renovated them. The construction is made of beech wood dyed with water stain brown. The chairs are protected with acrylic varnish with a satin glow. The upholstery fabric was produced in the Clean boo technology and has water-repellent properties. This means that the fabric limits the absorption of liquids. Spilled liquid on the surface will form balls. The chairs have undergone a complete carpentry and upholstery renovation. Seats covered with high-quality light boucle fabric (color 01). ABRASION RESISTANCE Category A (60,000 cycles). We can prepare also smaller or bigger sets of 2, 4, 6, 10 or more chairs in different wood and boucle color.

    Set of eight consisting of very rare pair of 'Fumay' chairs with upholstered rest, and six standard 'Fumay' armchairs designed in 1965 by the world-famous French duo, Robert Guillerme and Jacques Chambron. This solid oak “Fumay” set of dinning armchairs are considered as a reference among furniture from the 1950s to the 1970s. This dining armchairs perfectly explains why, through proportions, unique concepts and the quality of woodworking at the highest level, the French duo created timeless furniture. These chairs show beautiful lines, from Guillerme and Chambron's signature tapered legs to the armrests, which are carved from light oak with the utmost care. This armchair model is made with attention to detail and extremely comfortable. This version of the 'Fumay' model with armrests is distinguished by interesting curves and the highest craftmanship, characteristic of the Guillerme & Chambron duo. The genius of the project lies in the details and uniqueness of the structure, such as stretchers between the legs placed at different heights in the front and on the sides.
