Set of Four 19th Century French Renaissance Chairs
About the Item
Set of Four 19th Century French Renaissance chairs are ideal for the wine room, game room, or as occasional seating throughout the home! The uprights below and above, along with the horizontal stretchers, have all been turned in the barley twist fashion. The seats are finely upholstered and surrounded by gadrooned edging. Atop the arched seatbacks appear an heraldic crest flanked by grapevines cascading down to the sides finished with rosettes and turned finials. The back splat is a continuation of the fully laden grapevine motif arranged in a framework with scroll flourishes. What a timeless look!
