About the Item

Amazing set of two rare Bauhaus prototype dining chairs, manufactured around 1930. These beautifully crafted chairs have a metal base with woven rattan seats and backrests. One of the chairs is still in good condition, the other chair needs restoration to the seat. These chairs are a very unique find for any Mid-Century design enthusiast. They're a rare first edition, made as a prototype for later Bauhaus chairs. They would blend in beautifully in any modern interior. Wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
