About the Item
The Portuguese Roots chair designed by Alexandre Caldas, is a reinterpretation of a great icon of the emblematic outdoor chair in Portugal from the late 50s. It’s also an ambicious project of a team who believe in the cultural values and the Portuguese traditions, giving them a new interpretation through the design of this unique piece. The main legacy of this young team of believers is to show the world the next icon of design of the XXI century, and tell it’s story.
The Portuguese Roots chair lines were thoroughly though to be ergonomic and comfortable. And the elegance of its lines speaks for itself.
It’s in the details that one can find the differences in high quality craftmanship. The fine assembly of all elements holding everything together, can only be admired up close. To achieve this, we have combined a master craftsman care for every last detail with the efficiency of technology, and with them, we fully trust our production.
To be able to create premium pieces we follow the highest criteria in quality and sustainability. All our wood is FSC certified and only natural fruit-based oils are applied, allowing the wood to breathe, as it should.
