Thonet No. 18 beech and Vienna straw chairs by Thonet for Herbatschek, 1960s
About the Item
Set of six chairs known as model No. 18, with curved beech frame with black varnish and handmade Vienna straw stuffing of the period, still intact.
Designed by Michael Thonet in 1876, but of ca. 1960 production, as indicated by the Herbatschek mark still visible under one of the seats.
Good condition, small break on the straw of one of the six chairs.
Measurements in cm 44x49x89h backrest, 47h seat
Beautiful and valuable set of six chairs model Thonet No. 18 designed by the owner of the Thonet company but branded Herbatschek.
Very good condition, finished in structure but with the original Vienna cream of the time, in fact they were kept and maintained perfectly by the former owners.
