Trio of Regency Ebonised Hand Painted Gilt & Cane Distressed Occasional Chairs

About the Item

Trio of English made Regency period chairs. Late 18th century to early 19th century in age. The chairs have their original ebonised black painted finish with original hand applied painted gilt details. Pegged frame construction, Sabre spaid & turned front legs, cane weaved seat & ball & cross frame back rest. A solid trio with just the most wonderful surface wear and patination. Historic wood worm but long gone & loads of age related surface paint texture. The cane weave is amber gold, looks strong in good order & functions well as a seat, with one small hole as shown within the photos.
