Where We First Met Seater by Claste

About the Item

Where we first met seater by Claste Dimensions: D 47.6 x W 152.4 x H 55.9 cm Material: Glass, Marble Weight: 170 kg Also available in different materials: Cararra Gioa (white), Rainbow Mist, Emperador Grey, Emperador Brown, Verdi Alpi, Nero Marquina. Since 2017 Quinlan Osborne has cultivated an aesthetic in his work that is rooted in the passion for contemporary design he developed while practicing as an Architect for fi fteen years prior to shifting his attention to the world of collectible design and furniture. Representative of a new form of minimalism his studio produces a refi ned, sensual series of works which provide subtle moments of refl ection, devoid of distraction yet monumental and bold. The sculptural nature of his work explores new ways and means of infusing traditional materials such as marble and glass with notions of fragility and tension that elicit a deeper more emotional connection resulting in pieces that appear impossibly stable yet permanently grounded. Through ingenuity and artistry his work fuses an in-depth knowledge of tradition- al techniques of craftsmanship and artisanry with a desire to push the boundaries of what is possible with modern technology and fabrication processes, blending the familiar with the extraordinary and inviting people to re-examine their expectations of what furniture should be and how it is traditionally used. His work has been recognized with numerous high-profi le international design awards, including the Archiproducts Design Award, the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Art and Design and the Grands Prix du Design for Quebec. He has also been featured in several signifi cant design and lifestyle publications around the world including Elle Décor, T Magazine, Architectural Digest, Wallpaper, Surface Magazine and many others.
