Contour Chaise by Lawrence Peabody for Selig

About the Item

This is an original Lawrence Peabody contour chaise designed for Selig. "Ideal for relaxing," we upholstered the chaise in a Sandra Jordan Alpaca Wool blend and refinished the legs. We picture the chaise in a cozy corner or as the statement in a living room. About Lawrence Peabody + Selig Born in Massachusetts, Peabody attended Rhode Island School of Design where he studied architecture and continued his studies in Copenhagen. His Mission in life was to "beautify everything" and was heavily influenced by Scandinavian elements during his time spent in Denmark. Peabody was a designer for Selig, an American furniture company responsible for introducing Scandinavian master designers to the American public and popularizing the modern style, during the 1950s and 1960s.
