About

A French Napoleon III Méridienne or chaise longue that was made circa 1850

This Méridienne has been fully restored by a traditional crafted professional upholsterer

Photo 2 show the original Méridienne in as found condition and the process of stripping down the piece for the full restoration of the interior
Photo 3 show the upholstery process with new strapping, cotton padding and the tufted De Ploeg Wool fabric

The interior has been totally refurbished in the classic way, the steel interior springs have been positioned back in place with Henna cord and the bottom has new cotton strapping that we put over the existing strapping that was worn in a few places

We used high quality De Ploeg Wool upholstery in a fresh of- white fabric leaving the legs with the original aged and patinated look

This Méridienne is ready again for a new life in a bespoke interior.
