Designed as a tribute to director's chairs and luxury safari foldable furniture, the 'Repose' armchair is meticulously constructed using cold steel rods, machined on a turning lathe, and finished with a black powder coating and a matt rubber effect. Our signature brass screws not only add elegance but also securely fix the saddle leather to the metal frame. We use premium Spanish hides that undergo vegetable tanning, a traditional and environmentally-friendly technique relying on natural tannings from bark or plant tissues. The use of oils and natural fats gives the leather a distinctive flexibility, texture, and longevity, allowing it to mold, retain its shape, and age gracefully. Each skin is carefully selected from food industry sub-products, ensuring a minimum thickness of 3.5 mm / 0.02 in. While some natural marks and wrinkles from the animal's neck may be noticeable, we believe they enhance the authenticity and uniqueness of every piece. Our leather parts are made with double saddles, always showcasing the top side of the hides for superior quality. We offer customization options to suit individual preferences and home décor, with a range of leather colors including black, navy, dark brown, cognac, and natural tobacco. For stitching, we typically use off-white threads, but clients have the flexibility to select alternative colors, making each piece truly unique.
