1960s French Rotary Armchair

About the Item

Stylish and sophisticated, this vintage rotary armchair cuts a handsome figure. Made in France, the design provokes nostalgia for the chic offices of the 1960s. The chair rotates upon a central pillar — a mechanism originally designed to help workers reach things more easily at their desks. There is a subtle nod to Space Age design in the geometric angles of the silhouette, softened by the cushioning of the upholstery. The chair has been reupholstered in a soft, stone grey boucle, which creates a cool neutral contrast with the shining silver metal of the X-shaped base.
