Cadre Club chair in Elm and heavy linen
About the Item
Taking many of the same cues as our Mochi chair, the Cadre club uses an exposed timber framework and leather cord to support the cushions. With a small footprint, the Cadre’s square form lends itself to smaller spaces and can be set close together in a steadfast pair. The high seat allows for a wide range of sitter and is set for comfortable conversation rather than long lounging.
A more imposing presence, the Cadre chair inverts the traditional club chair by placing the frame on the outside of the cushions. In doing so, we’ve chosen to foreground the natural beauty and grain of the timber, which stands in contrast to the upholstery. Profiled slats complete the contemporary update of this design classic, lending a textured light and softened architectural quality to the chair.
Thick olive tanned leather or heavy linen and wool mix fabric provide sturdy but luxurious comfort on the upholstered cushions, which are kept in place with brunches vegetable tanned leather straps. The polished hardwood and leather give a great warmth and tactility that will patina richly over time.
