A silver, vintage Mid-Century Modern American pair of lounge chairs made of hand crafted chrome, designed by Milo Baughman and produced by TC Thayer Coggin, Inc., in good condition. The seat, backrest of the plated steel armchairs are inclinated with straight armrests, supported by a metal frame, standing on four small feet. Manufacturer labels at the bottom. Newly upholstered in a white-grey cotton fabric, detailed with blue piping. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1960 - 1965, North Carolina, United States. Restored, vintage flat bar chrome lounge chairs set designed by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin. These lounge chairs have recently been updated with period appropriate grey tweed wool fabric. The texture and tone plays beautifully against the chrome frame. The original Thayer Coggin tags were preserved, and sewn into the seats. The chairs have a sleek pitched back gangster lean that cradles you into a comfy nook. Upholstered arm rests add even more comfort without giving the chair a bulky overstuffed look.
