Wittmann Palais Stoclet Vintage Cognac Leather Armchair by Josef Hoffmann

About the Item

From Austrian designer Josef Hoffmann comes this great Palais Stoclet Armchair. Design year between 1905-1911 through the time of art Nouveau and Vienna secession for the mansion Palais Stoclet in Brussels Belgium. This chair was produced in the 1980s. It was manufactured by Austrian Manufacturer Wittmann in Cognac Nubuk aniline leather. The Leather originally has a velvet soft touch due the time it takes a lot Patina. Wittmann is an Austrian company manufacturing high-quality upholstered furniture since 1886. It has a long design history with Josef Hoffmann founder of Wiener Werkstätten/ Vienna Secession. This is chair no. 2.

    Wear consistent with age and use. This piece has signs of use and some patina to the armrests and on the seats. Signs of use and wear on the leather buttoms around the edges. Also some marks with ballpoint pen on the leather.
