Circa 1760-80 George III Period English Corner Chair
About the Item
Circa 1760-80 George III period corner chair, English. Mahogany of good color. Once with deep aprons to likely conceal a chamber pot, now re-braced with and slip seat. Ring-carved, turned X form cross-stretcher. Straight, square legs with interior champher for the stretchers. Chippendale Gothic influence pierced backsplats. Outswept arms, ring turned & bulbous carved uprights.
