Originally designed in the 1930s, the Butterfly Chair was a static floor model, loved for its unique shape and comfort. But now, it has spread its wings and taken flight as a swing seat, embodying the liberty it has always stood for. The ButterFLY is no longer bound by the constraints of a static chair, but free to soar and swing, adding a playful and dynamic element to any space.
Each one is handmade with care by our craftsmen. Form-fitting comfort, perfect for indoor and covered patio spaces.
The beauty of leather is that each hide has natural markings and features, which means that each piece is unique, with its own personality. There might also be slight colour variations. The craftsmanship and skill of the artist’s hand therefore constitutes an inherent part of the making of your particular piece, a feature we celebrate as part of the creative process. As you live with your product, the leather will evolve. With the correct care, the appearance of your newly purchased piece will retain its beauty, developing its own character and patina.

Hanging mechanisms are supplied in standard lengths, ready for installation.

All of them are ideal for inside or outside use and look gorgeous on a deck, patio, hanging from a branch of a tree or anywhere indoors. They are great used as functional art pieces or a signature item.
As each one is made by hand it therefor allows for each piece to have individualism and uniqueness in some of the pattern detailing due to the variance of craftsmanship. They are made from steel - so very strong and durable, E coated for rust protection (like on the chassis of a car) and then powder coated.
