The Vow Chair by Geke Lensink

About the Item

The Vow Chair by Geke Lensink Dimensions: D40 x W100 x H50 cm Materials: alaskan yellow cedar, cushion and knitted After graduating from ArtEZ University of the Arts, Geke Lensink started working as an independent interior designer, setting up many exhibitions and stands for numerous clients. Twelve years ago, she decided to chase her dreams and devote herself entirely to designing furniture. For Geke Lensink, furniture is not merely a collection of objects, but also a carrier of stories. The designer translates her own memories of travels and cultures into her autonomous work and all objects are a fusion of thoughts and ideas. Her recent designs is about our world in which segregation slowly merges and the diversity of the global community becomes more visible, but it is also about acceptance and arrogance. The reflections on these subjects are made tangible in minimalist designs with bright colours, creating a balance between functionality and beauty. The use of natural materials is a matter of course for Geke.
