Italian Center Dormeuse in Carved Walnut circa 1850 Yellow Fabric

About the Item

Walnut Dormeuse Mid-1800s with an unusual shape in that it lacks a side back in place of which we find a turned wooden crosspiece. The settee has a solid walnut frame with a beautiful patina; the front is centered by a carved shell, while the front upright of the side is carved with zoomorphic motifs; this small 19th-century center triclinium sofa or dormeuse is small in size and has been fully restored, upholstered and upholstered with a yellow striped cotton fabric as per the attached photographs. It dates back to the mid-1800s, of Italian origin, it is in good state of conservation. For the export from Italy of an art object that is more than 50 years old, an export license called BELLE ARTI must be applied for from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. the issuance of such a government license takes a couple of weeks or so, to be added to the order processing time.
