Occupying the liminal space between art and design, the multidisciplinary atelier of Lucas and Tyra Morten is a small scale artist studio presenting handmade objects and artworks in limited editions. What permeates the experience of their work is their devotion to the impermanence of things. Far from the increasingly technological world where more efficient production lines are created with greater precision, they instead explore the fragility that comes with everything that is transitory. Their works are therefore imbued with an experiential and existential quality that comes with a touch of the artists hands. (All objects are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity. The shape behind sväv sofa came to life from the question asking what determines the boundary between the landscape of dreams and real-life actions. Objects include a "Certificate of Authenticity". Objects are signed on hand-casted tin plates. Lucas Morten Between the interface of functional objects and visual art, Lucas Morten invites you to an era where contemporary questioning of societal thoughts meets the history of brutalism. Being able to interact with art in more than a visual way, also physically and mentally, was out of importance in the hand-making of the objects. A context totally omitted to self-perceived questionings, conversations, and thoughts - reflects the objects' expression and angles. It is the discrepancy between the anxiety about sharing the visual art and the desire to spread the fundamental message behind the objects that now allows each observer to form or not to form an own perception. Lucas Morten is a 25-year-old artist from the Swedish west coast, where he currently also has his atelier.
