Vintage A.R. Cordemeijer Cleopatra Daybed with New, Custom Sheepskin Cushion
About the Item
Made of steel and solid teak, the Cleopatra daybed was a breakthrough design for the Auping bed company. It was originally envisioned as a sofa bed which could transform into a living room sofa by adding back cushions, making it perfect for the small Dutch post-war homes. This example is stenciled with the manufacturer's mark to underside - ‘Auping’. A new custom-made sheepskin cushion sits atop the daybed for a cozy, comfortable seat. We love this piece.
