1970's Thonet Dining Chairs For The German Military - Blue - Good Qty Available
About the Item
1970s Thonet stacking dining chairs for the German military, blue, good quantities available. Commissioned by the Bundeswehr and made by Thonet these chairs were made for the German Military. It's not often we see colored chairs so we snapped them up and we have them in green and blue (Blue are listed separately). Unusually they were made by Thonet. Founded in the early 19th century by Michael Thonet, Thonet invented the process of steam bending wood under pressure and used this to design the Classic bentwood chairs still in production today. In the 19th century he had a large network of shops throughout Europe and was a huge furniture retailer. These chairs are built to last, strong steel frames with birch ply seats and backs. Measures: Seat height 44cm
